POWER THROUGH THE SPIRIT

But ye shall receive power, after that, the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).
Some Christians assume and believe that prayer produces power. So, they say, “a prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian,” but that’s not stated anywhere in the Bible.
Notice our theme scripture; Jesus didn’t say you’ll receive power after you’ve prayed. I believe in prayer, but prayer doesn’t bring power. Power comes from the Holy Ghost.
Power is the dynamic ability to cause changes. That means we can effect changes in our lives and that of our loved ones, and even in places where we desire to see changes. We’re not supposed to be victims in the earth, but many Christians live as victims; they’re captives of adverse circumstances. But Jesus said you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. Jesus was never a victim, yet many of God’s children have been victims in one way or the other.
1 John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” When you were born again, you were born as an offspring of God; through the Holy Spirit, you have power. No need to ask Him for power, for the power is already resident in you. All you need to do for the power of God in you to be manifested is to stir it up (2 Timothy 1:6). Glory to God!

"PRAY MORE"

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18).

The more time you spend in fellowship with the Lord through prayer, the more His character and personality are revealed in and through you. This is one of the most exciting benefits of prayer. Through prayer, your spiritual antenna is raised to pick God's thought and think like Him. Some people only pray when they're compelled to do so by certain challenges they face in life, and that's not right. As Christians, we were called into fellowship with our heavenly father.

You get to know the Lord and love Him more as you fellowship with Him through prayer and study of the Word. Praying, and praying the right way, is an important activity in the life of every Christian. It makes your life beautiful, vibrant, and exuberant with praise at all times. Take your personal times of prayer, devotions, and meditation very seriously. Create the opportunities in the course of your day to fellowship with the Lord through prayer.

When you pray often, especially in the spirit, you'll live with a pure heart toward all men; you won't criticize others as you will see only the good in them. Learn to intercede for others more than ever before.

1Timothy 2:1 says, " I exhort, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be make for all men." Take this domination of the Spirit seriously. Consciously practice this today! Take some time to pray for those around you, and for those in distant lands; it's your priestly responsibility to do this.

As you spend more time in prayer, your life will flourish from glory to glory because prayer is more than just an opportunity to get God to do something for you! It's a time to commune with the Lord and bask in rich spiritual consciousness; so give more time and attention to prayer. May God strengthen us to pray in Jesus name.  Halleluiah!!!!!!!  bit.ly/2LZcGo7

Energized For The Glory life

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily (Colossians 1:29).

In 2 Corinthians 3:5, the Apostle Paul alludes to the same thought he parallels for us in the opening scripture when he said, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” The word sufficiency is the Greek “hikanotes” and it means ability – divine energy. There’s an ability working in you, and its supernatural, being the ability of the Spirit. It doesn’t burn out and it doesn’t need replenishing.

Consequently, your physical ability should no longer limit you or dictate just how much you can do. As one who’s born again and has received the Holy Spirit, you’re anointed with power to live the glorious life of Christ and do the impossible. Acts 1:8 says, “You shall receive power – divine ability and enablement – after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” That ability came into you when the Spirit of God took up His abode in you. In Colossians 1:12, the Word says He’s qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in His glorious Kingdom of light.

The Old Testament folks didn’t have it as good as we do in the New. The Holy Spirit didn’t live in them, but only came on them from time to time, yet they did supernatural things.
For us, it’s even better, because the supplier of that divine energy, the Holy Ghost lives in us. That means our potentials are limitless! We’re divinely endued to live the life of glory, according to God’s mighty power which works in us mightily. There’s a divine ability working in you, helping you achieve results that are beyond your physical ability. Be conscious of this divine ability today, and it will make the difference in everything you do.

CONTROL THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF YOUR LIFE

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4
When you study Jesus and the way He responded to different circumstances, you’ll discover He was always in charge. His language was that of faith and absolute mastery. He was always in control, unperturbed by anything. His words were faith-filled, and He displayed an attitude of rest in the midst of turmoil. This is the life He’s given us; a life of absolute mastery, where you cease from all worries and express your faith unperturbed.
Even when He was told His friend Lazarus had been dead and buried four days, Jesus remained unruffled. Instead, with all calmness and assurance, He told Mary and Martha, Lazarus’ sisters: “…I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25). Nothing could shake Him; He was the picture of supreme confidence! He stood at the entrance of the sepulchre, uttered a simple prayer of thanks to the Father, and called out: “Lazarus, come out!” The man that had been dead for four days came hopping out of the grave alive! (John 11:41-44).

That was faith functioning from a place of rest and absolute mastery. Faith recognises no fear, because it trusts in the ability of God. When you’re faced with challenges, don’t cower or become frightful or fretful. Be in charge, irrespective of what happens around you. If you receive negative news from afar, maintain your composure and declare God’s Word. Take charge. Refuse to worry; just give the Word and effect a change. Hallelujah!

Your Testimony!

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony... (Revelation 12:11).

A testimony is a statement or affirmation of a fact. In a court of law, for instance, a testimony is the aggregate of proof offered in a case; it’s the statement of a witness. Our opening scripture says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.”The question is, “What’s your testimony?” Your testimony is your witness of Christ. It’s your declaration of the activity of His Word and grace in your life.

What’s your testimony of Him? For me, I testify that I’m walking in His grace and in His victory! I testify that I’m winning in everything that I do! I testify that I’m excellent all the way! I testify that His grace is working in, for, and through me! I testify that the Lord is my Rock and my Strength! I testify that I’m more than a conqueror; greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world!

Testify of your victories; testify of what He’s done in your life. Sometimes, the problem is that some people want to feel or see it first before they testify. But it’s not so. Testify! Don’t wait to feel or see anything; His Word is real; that should be the basis of your testimony; and that’s what overcomes the enemy, Satan.

When people are crying, “Life is very hard these days,” you should declare, “I’m highly favoured and abundantly blessed of God!” That becomes your testimony, and with it, you overcome limitations. When you speak God’s Word and testify of Him, you bring His presence into the situation. Let His testimony be on your lips always—the testimony of His Word and efficacy of the Spirit to put you over and above every situation.

Maintain God’s testimony of you; His testimony is that you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus! His testimony is that you’re more than a conqueror! Affirm the same things in consent with Him. Every day, say what God has said about you: “...He hath said…so that we may boldly say...” (Hebrews 13:5-6). The glorious things He has spoken about you in His Word (Psalm 87:3) are your testimonies! Proclaim them boldly.

God Bless You.

Don't forget to share your testimonies with us!

Choose To Win

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:3).

The future belongs to those who prepare for it. There’re lots of good things that can happen to you and for you along the path of life without you preparing for them or doing anything for them to happen. However, God’s best isn’t that you wait for good things to "fall" on you. For example, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ died for the whole world. The work of salvation has been consummated; it’s been made available to everyone in the world
.
But sadly, there’re people who’ll still go to hell. Is it God’s fault, or was the salvation inadequate? Certainly not! It’s because they chose not to accept His salvation; it’s the choice they made that’s taking them to hell. Some others never heard of Christ’s salvation, and it’s our responsibility to tell the untold.

In the same way, you’re the offspring of success; therefore, you can’t and shouldn’t be anything less. Success is your birthright. However, just because you’ve got the genes of success in you doesn’t mean you’re going to live up to your calling. You’ve got to do something about it; you must choose to win. Choose to be a success. Organize yourself for it. Plan for it and work towards it.

Success and failure are neither accidental nor mysterious. If you consistently practise the principles of success according to God’s Word, you’re guaranteed to experience good success in every area of your life. On the other hand, the one who lives without vision, purpose and a sense of direction will fail miserably in life. It’s still early in the year, a good time to organize and strategize by the Spirit to win and be a victor on every count. Remember, it’s not enough to hope for success; you make it happen. It’s a choice that you must make.

Influence Your World With The Christ-life

You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on your hearts, to be known and read by all men; and you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:2-3 RSV).

Many people have the wrong perception about Christianity. Some say it’s the worship of God. Others say it’s the belief in Jesus Christ; and some others say it’s going to church. Though Christians worship God, believe in Jesus Christ, and go to church, none of these really define Christianity.

Christianity is the out-working of the Christ-life in a human being. It’s the manifestation of the righteousness of God in a human person. It’s the daily walk of divinity in humanity; God’s daily walk in a man; that’s Christianity! Christianity is the Word of God in manifestation; Christians live-out the Word of God.

Your life, as a Christian, is the expression of the Word of God; you’re the epistle of Christ. Therefore, your lifestyle should reflect who you really are; you’re a true witness, a living proof that Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, and is alive today. The Apostle Paul, in explaining this, said we’re living epistles (letters).

Your life is being read by all; therefore, your words, actions, and attitude should transmit, and transfer, the Christ-life to the people around you. Influence your world with the grace and glory of God’s Kingdom. Impact those in your world with the Christ-life! That’s your calling; that’s your purpose; that’s your life!
