DON’T GIVE UP ON PRAYER

“Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit…. ‘What makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them?’” (Luke 18:1, 7 MSG)
Andrew looked at his watch over and over. “Only ten minutes!” he thought, “I thought I had prayed for an hour. But really, do I need to pray long hours before God hears or answers me? I know He knows everything, but I wonder why I have to keep praying for long hours.” Prayer, in reality, isn’t about the length or duration but applying right and effective principles while talking to the Lord and addressing various issues. It’s communication and fellowship to be enjoyed than endured, because you have a loving relationship with Jesus Christ, and He’s the One who admonishes us to pray without giving up because He loves to fellowship with you
Besides, you can change anything through prayer, so why not engage in it more? The divine power necessary to cause that change facing you is in you; it was deposited in you the moment you received the Holy Spirit into your life (Acts 1:8). James 5:16 says, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]” (AMP). So keep praying! There’s nothing too difficult for God to do (Jeremiah 32:27). He’s the God of possibilities, and He’s given you the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus and effect the changes you desire.

The God to whom you pray reigns and rules in the affairs of men: “…in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men” (Daniel 4:17). He’s given you the authority to decree a thing and have it established (Job 22:28). Therefore, in praying for the things that you want, let these thoughts always be in your mind.

PSALM 22:27-28 AMP)

2. Pray for all security and law enforcement agencies in our nation; declare that they refuse to be used as instruments of coercion and intimidation, declare that they will uphold their creed and stay true to the constitution they swore to protect, and not be motivated by greed and selfishness. We declare righteousness in our armed forces, in our police force and in all security agencies in our nation.
Luke 3:14 "And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."

We command a stop to armed robbery, menace of the herdsmen, kidnappings and other forms of violent crime.
We dispatch angels on the streets in all neighbourhoods, towns and cities all around this nation, frustrating and overwhelming the evil works of darkness and exposing all men of violence.

2TIMOTHY 3:9 - "But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men…"
5. Pray fervently against subtle attempts to subdue Christianity in areas of northern states which are predominantly Christian.
We declare that Christians in these lands are strengthened through our prayers today to put up a strong spiritual resistance to these moves, and granted wisdom to deploy all legal means to protect the faith and their inalienable fundamental rights.
ESTHER 9:2 - The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities… to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

6. Pray concerning the upcoming elections, that Christians and enlightened citizens of our nation will not unwittingly dissociate themselves from the electoral process, but that they will be actively mobilized and involved at every stage, taking personal responsibility for bringing about desired changes through the ballot.
Pray also against manipulation of the polls, declaring that because of our involvement in the process, all such attempts are frustrated, and the will of the Lord is brought to pass.
JOB 5:12-13[NLT] – "He frustrates the plans of schemers so the work of their hands will not succeed. He traps the wise in their own cleverness so their cunning schemes are thwarted"

21 Days Of Prayer and Fasting

21 DAYS PRAYER AND FASTING FOR NIGERIA PRAYER POINTS FOR WEDNESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2018
1. Pray for the vision and message of our ministry to continue to prevail and gain access and acceptance in every nook and cranny of this nation, bringing hope to the peoples of Nigeria, and empowering them to arise and be a blessing to the nation, rather than looking to the government as their source. LUKE 8:40 – And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him. ISAIAH 60:3- And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
2. Pray for our civil service across the nation, that bureaucracy and apathy be completely extinguished from all parastatals of government at all levels.
Pray for a change of attitude for our civil servants, that there would be new zeal, inspiration, and patriotism in their hearts to do their work with diligence and commitment , thereby contributing to nation-building. PROVERBS 18:9(TVC) – Those who slack off at work are no different from vandals. ECCLESIASTES 10:18(AMP) – Through indolence the rafters [of state affairs] decay and the roof sinks in, and through idleness of the hands the house leaks.
3. Pray and declare a renewed commitment to infrastructural development across the country by government from the local councils to the federal level.
Declare that in this new day, because of our prayers, it is not business as usual, but available resources are applied wisely and judiciously to meet the most pressing needs, while the leaders explore innovative and viable avenues to generate more revenue to undertake further projects in order to create an environment and provide amenities that foster growth of the local economies and encourage investment and development. NEHEMIAH 2:17-18 - Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem liethwaste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach...And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for thisgood work.
4. Pray specifically against corruption in our nation, declaring a complete change in the mindsets and orientation of our leaders and populace in the direction of true patriotism and selfless love for our nation.
Pray for the anti-corruption agencies of state, that they would function without bias or partiality, diligently and conclusively prosecuting all who have soiled their hands with public resources.
Declare that all corrupt officers in these agencies are exposed and shamed, from the least to the greatest, and all those whom they have helped to escape justice are speedily apprehended. PSALM 64:5-7[TLB] – They encourage each other to do evil. They meet in secret to set their traps. “He will never notice them here,” they say. They keep a sharp lookout for opportunities of crime. They spend long hours with all their endless evil thoughts and plans. But God himself will shoot them down. Suddenly his arrow will pierce them.
5. Pray fervidly against violent attacks on churches and places of Christian worship in this country. Declare heightened activity of angels in and around all church auditoriums and Christian gatherings everywhere in this nation, beyond the physical security arrangements made, such that nothing and no one shall be able to cause hurt or harm to the saints by any means. We are not victims; the power of the Holy Spirit intervenes through us; the church is marching on, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. GENESIS 19:10(MSG) – But the two men (angels) reached out and pulled Lot inside the house, locking the door. 11. Then they struck blind the men who were trying to break down the door, both leaders and followers, leaving them groping in the dark.
6. We declare today that everyone in government who secretly or openly sponsors or promotes violence and hostility against Christians and the church is removed by the hand of God. Men of violence and all who hate the church will proceed no further in our nation. As God’s voice in this land, we declare their offices vacant; they are speedily removed and replaced by men of peace who favour the church and seek her good. As was the case with Haman, who hated the Jews without cause, so shall their end be, unless they repent and accept Jesus as Lord. ESTHER 3:6 – “...wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews...” ESTHER 7:8, 10 – As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face. 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
