POWER THROUGH THE SPIRIT

But ye shall receive power, after that, the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).
Some Christians assume and believe that prayer produces power. So, they say, “a prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian,” but that’s not stated anywhere in the Bible.
Notice our theme scripture; Jesus didn’t say you’ll receive power after you’ve prayed. I believe in prayer, but prayer doesn’t bring power. Power comes from the Holy Ghost.
Power is the dynamic ability to cause changes. That means we can effect changes in our lives and that of our loved ones, and even in places where we desire to see changes. We’re not supposed to be victims in the earth, but many Christians live as victims; they’re captives of adverse circumstances. But Jesus said you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. Jesus was never a victim, yet many of God’s children have been victims in one way or the other.
1 John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” When you were born again, you were born as an offspring of God; through the Holy Spirit, you have power. No need to ask Him for power, for the power is already resident in you. All you need to do for the power of God in you to be manifested is to stir it up (2 Timothy 1:6). Glory to God!

"PRAY MORE"

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18).

The more time you spend in fellowship with the Lord through prayer, the more His character and personality are revealed in and through you. This is one of the most exciting benefits of prayer. Through prayer, your spiritual antenna is raised to pick God's thought and think like Him. Some people only pray when they're compelled to do so by certain challenges they face in life, and that's not right. As Christians, we were called into fellowship with our heavenly father.

You get to know the Lord and love Him more as you fellowship with Him through prayer and study of the Word. Praying, and praying the right way, is an important activity in the life of every Christian. It makes your life beautiful, vibrant, and exuberant with praise at all times. Take your personal times of prayer, devotions, and meditation very seriously. Create the opportunities in the course of your day to fellowship with the Lord through prayer.

When you pray often, especially in the spirit, you'll live with a pure heart toward all men; you won't criticize others as you will see only the good in them. Learn to intercede for others more than ever before.

1Timothy 2:1 says, " I exhort, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be make for all men." Take this domination of the Spirit seriously. Consciously practice this today! Take some time to pray for those around you, and for those in distant lands; it's your priestly responsibility to do this.

As you spend more time in prayer, your life will flourish from glory to glory because prayer is more than just an opportunity to get God to do something for you! It's a time to commune with the Lord and bask in rich spiritual consciousness; so give more time and attention to prayer. May God strengthen us to pray in Jesus name.  Halleluiah!!!!!!!  bit.ly/2LZcGo7

Energized For The Glory life

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily (Colossians 1:29).

In 2 Corinthians 3:5, the Apostle Paul alludes to the same thought he parallels for us in the opening scripture when he said, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” The word sufficiency is the Greek “hikanotes” and it means ability – divine energy. There’s an ability working in you, and its supernatural, being the ability of the Spirit. It doesn’t burn out and it doesn’t need replenishing.

Consequently, your physical ability should no longer limit you or dictate just how much you can do. As one who’s born again and has received the Holy Spirit, you’re anointed with power to live the glorious life of Christ and do the impossible. Acts 1:8 says, “You shall receive power – divine ability and enablement – after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” That ability came into you when the Spirit of God took up His abode in you. In Colossians 1:12, the Word says He’s qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in His glorious Kingdom of light.

The Old Testament folks didn’t have it as good as we do in the New. The Holy Spirit didn’t live in them, but only came on them from time to time, yet they did supernatural things.
For us, it’s even better, because the supplier of that divine energy, the Holy Ghost lives in us. That means our potentials are limitless! We’re divinely endued to live the life of glory, according to God’s mighty power which works in us mightily. There’s a divine ability working in you, helping you achieve results that are beyond your physical ability. Be conscious of this divine ability today, and it will make the difference in everything you do.

CONTROL THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF YOUR LIFE

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4
When you study Jesus and the way He responded to different circumstances, you’ll discover He was always in charge. His language was that of faith and absolute mastery. He was always in control, unperturbed by anything. His words were faith-filled, and He displayed an attitude of rest in the midst of turmoil. This is the life He’s given us; a life of absolute mastery, where you cease from all worries and express your faith unperturbed.
Even when He was told His friend Lazarus had been dead and buried four days, Jesus remained unruffled. Instead, with all calmness and assurance, He told Mary and Martha, Lazarus’ sisters: “…I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25). Nothing could shake Him; He was the picture of supreme confidence! He stood at the entrance of the sepulchre, uttered a simple prayer of thanks to the Father, and called out: “Lazarus, come out!” The man that had been dead for four days came hopping out of the grave alive! (John 11:41-44).

That was faith functioning from a place of rest and absolute mastery. Faith recognises no fear, because it trusts in the ability of God. When you’re faced with challenges, don’t cower or become frightful or fretful. Be in charge, irrespective of what happens around you. If you receive negative news from afar, maintain your composure and declare God’s Word. Take charge. Refuse to worry; just give the Word and effect a change. Hallelujah!

Your Testimony!

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony... (Revelation 12:11).

A testimony is a statement or affirmation of a fact. In a court of law, for instance, a testimony is the aggregate of proof offered in a case; it’s the statement of a witness. Our opening scripture says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.”The question is, “What’s your testimony?” Your testimony is your witness of Christ. It’s your declaration of the activity of His Word and grace in your life.

What’s your testimony of Him? For me, I testify that I’m walking in His grace and in His victory! I testify that I’m winning in everything that I do! I testify that I’m excellent all the way! I testify that His grace is working in, for, and through me! I testify that the Lord is my Rock and my Strength! I testify that I’m more than a conqueror; greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world!

Testify of your victories; testify of what He’s done in your life. Sometimes, the problem is that some people want to feel or see it first before they testify. But it’s not so. Testify! Don’t wait to feel or see anything; His Word is real; that should be the basis of your testimony; and that’s what overcomes the enemy, Satan.

When people are crying, “Life is very hard these days,” you should declare, “I’m highly favoured and abundantly blessed of God!” That becomes your testimony, and with it, you overcome limitations. When you speak God’s Word and testify of Him, you bring His presence into the situation. Let His testimony be on your lips always—the testimony of His Word and efficacy of the Spirit to put you over and above every situation.

Maintain God’s testimony of you; His testimony is that you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus! His testimony is that you’re more than a conqueror! Affirm the same things in consent with Him. Every day, say what God has said about you: “...He hath said…so that we may boldly say...” (Hebrews 13:5-6). The glorious things He has spoken about you in His Word (Psalm 87:3) are your testimonies! Proclaim them boldly.

God Bless You.

Don't forget to share your testimonies with us!

Choose To Win

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:3).

The future belongs to those who prepare for it. There’re lots of good things that can happen to you and for you along the path of life without you preparing for them or doing anything for them to happen. However, God’s best isn’t that you wait for good things to "fall" on you. For example, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ died for the whole world. The work of salvation has been consummated; it’s been made available to everyone in the world
.
But sadly, there’re people who’ll still go to hell. Is it God’s fault, or was the salvation inadequate? Certainly not! It’s because they chose not to accept His salvation; it’s the choice they made that’s taking them to hell. Some others never heard of Christ’s salvation, and it’s our responsibility to tell the untold.

In the same way, you’re the offspring of success; therefore, you can’t and shouldn’t be anything less. Success is your birthright. However, just because you’ve got the genes of success in you doesn’t mean you’re going to live up to your calling. You’ve got to do something about it; you must choose to win. Choose to be a success. Organize yourself for it. Plan for it and work towards it.

Success and failure are neither accidental nor mysterious. If you consistently practise the principles of success according to God’s Word, you’re guaranteed to experience good success in every area of your life. On the other hand, the one who lives without vision, purpose and a sense of direction will fail miserably in life. It’s still early in the year, a good time to organize and strategize by the Spirit to win and be a victor on every count. Remember, it’s not enough to hope for success; you make it happen. It’s a choice that you must make.

Influence Your World With The Christ-life

You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on your hearts, to be known and read by all men; and you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:2-3 RSV).

Many people have the wrong perception about Christianity. Some say it’s the worship of God. Others say it’s the belief in Jesus Christ; and some others say it’s going to church. Though Christians worship God, believe in Jesus Christ, and go to church, none of these really define Christianity.

Christianity is the out-working of the Christ-life in a human being. It’s the manifestation of the righteousness of God in a human person. It’s the daily walk of divinity in humanity; God’s daily walk in a man; that’s Christianity! Christianity is the Word of God in manifestation; Christians live-out the Word of God.

Your life, as a Christian, is the expression of the Word of God; you’re the epistle of Christ. Therefore, your lifestyle should reflect who you really are; you’re a true witness, a living proof that Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, and is alive today. The Apostle Paul, in explaining this, said we’re living epistles (letters).

Your life is being read by all; therefore, your words, actions, and attitude should transmit, and transfer, the Christ-life to the people around you. Influence your world with the grace and glory of God’s Kingdom. Impact those in your world with the Christ-life! That’s your calling; that’s your purpose; that’s your life!

Blessed of the Lord!

I affirm that I am a custodian of divine Life and there's divine Life in the atmosphere in which I live. Daily, I go out with joy and I am led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills are breaking forth before me in singing, and all the trees of the field are clapping their hands as I advance in life.
My portion (field) is blessed of the Lord! The lines are falling unto me in pleasant places and I have a goodly heritage.I am a joint heir with Christ and I am sufficient in His sufficiency.I make great and glorious things happen in my life, in God’s kingdom, and in the lives of others, to the glory of Jesus Christ.
I am up and alive unto God, fruitful and productive by the power of the Holy Ghost. I am complete in Christ; there’s nothing lacking in my life because Christ is my completeness! I am from above; therefore, I refuse to condescend to this earthly plane of life because as Jesus is, so am I in this world. Hallelujah!
The same way the rain waters the ground and in return the ground causes the plants to sprout and grow, to bring seeds for the farmer and food for people to eat; so shall my words go out to cause great harvest to take place on the earth. None of my words shall fall to the ground without results
Glory to God.

The Theory of Nations

What do you have in yourself? Do you have something in yourself? There are many who cry for help and because there are no answers to their call for help they feel the pains in the pangs of neglect,  No, refuse to give up, believe in what God made, God made you and He never made a failure, believe that God has a purpose for your life you are not an accident in the world, your parents may tell you that they were not prepared for you and you just came,  well you are here now, you may have been born as a parental accident but you are not a divine accident.  God knew you were coming and he made sufficient provision for you, there's a place for you in the world and I'm helping you find that place, there are certain things you must do for all of what we have discussed to be a reality.

There are things that are not in abundant supply they are limited, one of them is time save time, keep track of your time, the bible says for us to redeem the time because the days are evil you don't have extra time life is not a game if you play a game they may  give you extra time but life is not a game, therefore, make everyday count for your life. Improve yourself every day, introduce something into your life that counts, choose to be a success become inspiring.  Be a lawyer with a difference, a police man with a difference, a soldier with a difference, a politician with a difference a school teacher with a difference a tailor with a difference a driver with a difference a cleaner with a difference a messenger with a difference a Governor with a difference a Senator with a difference, distinguish yourself with  excellence, if you're a musician be a musician with a difference, become inspiring , whatever you do, do it with excellence put yourself and your best into what you do and change your world.

Remember there's no extra time, therefore whatever you do now do it the best way the first time.  Success is waiting for the man who says yes to success, success is waiting for the man who plans for it who reaches out for it who says I will wake up and he wakes up, who says I will read this book and he read it, who says I'll go to school and it goes, success is waiting for the man who makes the decision, time is important don't spend your time watching television 24 hours a day, don't spend your time watching video 24 hours a day, those that you're watching have put their best into what you're watching, change the position, say to yourself I will be watched. Sometimes I'm concerned there are those who only think about designers perfume designers clothes designers shoes, where are your own designs? Challenge yourself for the future there's room for you,  there's a place for you at the top,  train your mind and use it, give yourself to a tutor, train yourself, train your mind and if you train your mind it will be ready to deliver to you  the right thoughts and ideas that will earn you commercial value.

There is no poverty for the man who has made an investment in his mind and is willing to act, there's no hunger for the man who has trained his mind to think through on every problem to solve every problem, train yourself think through a problem, and lender a solution. Let men come to you for advice decide to be a problem solver if you make that decision that's what you will be, problems solvers are in short supply in the world there's a place for the man who chooses to be one, engage yourself in national issues, some of you are the best writers in the country, but where are your writings? maybe you are sleeping too much, maybe you are resting too much, maybe you're playing too much, it's time to put your best into that writing let the country read your writings. It has been said that evil prevails when good men do nothing, it is also true that mundanity and mediocrity prevail where excellence is absent express your thoughts, act on the gains and provisions of democracy, the right of expression, express yourself express your thoughts speak up speak out and be heard, your society need you, contribute your ideas, you say nobody will listen to you, they will sooner or later, just keep talking just keep writing and constantly perfect your work improve yourself sooner or later they will listen to you. Last year I told you something, I told you, you are quotable.  Did you forget that? when I look at you I see extraordinary resources, when I look at you, I see wealth, I see greatness, that's what I see in you. I see the best doctors the best sportsmen the best engineers yes that's what I see in you, you must begin to see the same thing. The bible says let no man despise your youth, I know you can, you have it in you.

In America the black boys who were picked from the slums became some of the best basketballers; they have largely left that game for the black tall boys, the stout ones went into wrestling and boxing and became the best, they have left spots for the black for the African. Let me tell you a secret; your excellence is not limited to sports, your abilities are not limited to sports. In Europe some of the best footballers are from this country, the secret is this, our excellence is not limited to football, all of those sports are the result of mental work it proves we can do something with our minds, we can include the discipline to go further beyond the sports and produce the best books, the best schools, the best hospitals, we can set the pace and grow an extraordinary economy  in Africa. Translate and transit from the third world to the first world we can do it and we will.

I have explained to you that the micro ethno systems within sovereign nations are not only inter-related they are inter-dependent that means we need one another, I need you, you need me and because you need me I want to give you the best, I will improve myself so that when you require my abilities you will get the best of me, you must also improve yourself so that when I need u I can get the best of you together when we put the best together we can have a thriving nation, the key right now is education. let us all invest in education, let us all get concerned about education if you haven't gone to school go to school don't stop until you have done it, don't let poverty stop you, don't let lack or want stop you let nothing discourage you, go to school if they will not give you admission to any school go and buy books and start reading,  make that choice. The next five years the next 10 years, you will be ready, if you make that choice now in five years time the opportunity will be there and you will be ready. God has told me that the next few years, let me tell you exactly what he said,  he said son the next few years those that will matter in your nation will be those that you have influenced with the message that I gave you,  I believe him, in government, in politics, in academics the leaders of industry will be those that we have touched with the word of God, those  that we have been influenced with the word of God.

I have some words of caution, today's politics seems to me to be too dirty, listen you must make a difference don't practice politics of insults, don't use abusive language it is not right for politicians to insult themselves, never use insultive and abusive language against leaders it is wrong whether you're journalist or politicians never use insulting language, when you use insultive language it means you are of a poorer breed you are of a lesser quality, the excellent minds never insult, excellent minds never abuse there are higher words of communication never defame, never repeat a scandal you should have too much rank for that, you  should have too much excellence for that, train yourself to use excellent language to speak in praiseworthy terms use helpful and comforting words, leave the dirty job to others leave it to those who are untrained who are uncivilized practice high ideas, you can make a difference. You can run campaigns without being abusive, we must remember all of us may not join PDP or AC etc. all of us at the end of the elections will still be Nigerians.

No matter  your political ideas or the groups that you favour, you may not always be in such groups but you'll always be a Nigerian, therefore we must have mutual respect for other Nigerians if you don't respect him because he's in another party at least respect him because he's a Nigerian, is that important? you think that's important; yes it is, we can change our methods we can change our ways of doing things the future belongs to us, can you see the future? it's bright, lift your hands for a moment and I want you to pray for the Federal Republic of Nigeria, pray for this country, The future is yours.

The Theory of Nations

Remember the Words of Jesus in (Matthew 28:18) Go ye therefore and teach all nations, by the word nations he referred to these micro-ethno systems. It means going into every man's world with the message of life, it is our responsibility, therefore, to take lights to our world, every man's world.  Where there is darkness we are the light of the world. True nations by their very definition must inter-relate. As this is true of nations, it is also true of their micro-ethno systems. And these systems are inter-related and inter-dependent. It is important to know that each of us functions with one or more of these sub-nations, without which our relevance in the larger society will be grossly impaired. Individuals and indeed nations attain financial and economic independence through these relationships that nurture demand and supply. Your ability to analyze, interpret and apply these simple principles is your opportunity in today’s world. Most African countries are built on ideas and ideals of yesterday’s philosophies. We Need today’s thinkers for tomorrow’s visions.

I call on you to locate yourself within a functional group this may be defined by the school, work, family, profession, sports or trade.  The unemployed mind is the burden of society and remember this, there is a man or woman of substance hidden in each one of you and you must discover that inner person and unveil him. You have ability nature never created a failure there are no naturally born failures, failure is self-made you have an ability for something that no one else has exactly like you, begin today in your journey of self-discovery locate that ability and develop it.  Maybe you love to sing you said I would have like to sing, train your voice and give it commercial value, look inside you and find out what you have inside because within each of us there is an ability, there is a gift, there's something you can do. It's inside you no one else has the responsibility to find it for you, you are the one to locate it. Find it bring it to light and let it shine. The Bible declares that in all labour there is profit, no matter what work you're interested in, no matter what abilities you have, no matter what gift you have if you put yourself into it and discipline yourself with it, it will produce results.  I have just explained to you the importance of micro-ethno systems without these sub-nations you cannot function.

Foundations or autarchy is not acceptable every nation that has attempted such economic conditions of autarchy has failed, if that is true for nations it is true for individuals, you cannot stay alone and function as a human being.  You are a social creature you must belong in a group you must relate with others, relate with those who have the same mind, who have the same purpose of progress,  impact, dignity or responsibility. Choose the right part when you are young you have your whole world before you, you have a whole future in front of you, you have the ability to dream, you can talk about tomorrow the old can only talk about yesterday the aged talk about the past the youth talk about the future, you cannot change yesterday but you can do something today that can change tomorrow. It doesn't matter how you were born, that was yesterday it doesn't matter what happened last 5 years the last 10 years it doesn't matter what happened last week you may not be able to change that but you can reposition yourself today you can make new decisions today that'll change what tomorrow will bring.

Invest in your future refuse to be a mental hobo, refuse to end your life on the sidewalk, every time I tell you something I tell you that I believe in your future there is a reason I believe in your future I believe that if you hear this words you will act on them and they will change your future, none of you was born to be poor you may have been born poor but you were not born to be poor,  you may have been brought up poor but you were not brought up to be poor understand this, the definition of adulthood is responsibility when you become an adult you take responsibility for your future become responsible.

The Theory of Nations

We are grateful for the opportunity and the privilege that we have had as a nation to
transit from military regimes to becoming a democracy. Democracy is beautiful, if and
when a State achieves nationhood. Until and unless a State has transited from statehood to nationhood, the gains of democracy if at all present, will be minimal. And this is the dilemma of many African countries who have embraced democracy. Many in their bid to salvage their situation championed nationalism instead of pursuing nationhood. It is made clear that nationhood and nationalism are neither synonymous nor do they serve the same purpose.

Though nationalism in its true and positive sense is laudable, it is important for us to realize that in our world today, savage nationalism is the same spirit of racism, resulting in such despicable acts of the American black history, South African Apartheid, and ethnic cleansing of Eastern Europe, and [Central] Africa’s Rwanda. These evil are the result of nationalism where it is defined by blood, language, culture, and history. We have to realize that nationalism, where it is so defined by our relationship through language, or culture or blood, has only led men to their untimely graves and fractured societies. Our nation will not escape such fractures if we define ourselves according to our historical origins rather than our purpose, our vision. This perversion of Nationalism is the absence of national purpose; in many nations today, through Nationalism, we have a disguised resurgence of medieval tribal wars. Nationhood is different. In Nationhood, there’s mutual respect and respect for citizens’ rights.

We must remember that democracy is borne of the idea that citizens have a right to choose by whom and how they should be governed. And at this particular time in our country, it has become so important that we realize what democracy has granted us: the right to decide who governs us and how we shall be governed. Of course, it has been a slow journey, a slow process, because most of us are children and grand-children of military officers, and we were brought up to be militant in nature. But the time has come for us to settle for the change that has come upon us, the change that we have all embraced. And by that change our language must change; our perceptions must change; our respect for law and order must change; and of course, the law must change to favour its citizens.

Democracy comes with a citizens’ Bill of Rights, even though ours remains largely undeclared. But I call on every smart thinking person to study the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, so at least you understand what your rights are; what you can do and what you may be forbidden to do. Democracy thrives in informed and educated and enlightened societies. Dictatorship thrives in ignorant societies. We must, therefore, embrace education. We cannot wait until we have the best of situations. We cannot wait to have the best of conditions to read a book. We must choose to be informed; we must choose to open our minds and get educated. There is the ‘do-it-yourself’ attitude that we must have. Each one of us must be willing to educate himself, only that way can we be involved in nation building. No one else will build Nigeria for us; Nigeria will be built by Nigerians. To build a nation, we must recognize the concomitant sub-nations; these are the micro-ethno systems that function within the sovereign nation. It is the development of these micro-ethno systems that increases a nation’s gross national product, its per-capita income, and therefore its citizens’ standard of life. Micro-ethno systems are usually frustrated in States that are yet to understand, much less metamorphose into, nationhood.

The Theory of Nations

A State is ready for prosperity and development when it delivers to its people a robust Bill of Rights, a sense of liberty and freedom of expression. The purpose of a nation is the realization of human aspirations. It is in pursuance of man’s dreams or desire for happiness, prosperity, self-expression, ecological development, self-fulfillment and his insatiable and unending desire for self-discovery and maximization of his intellectual physical and spiritual abilities. All these, man knows, he cannot attain or achieve in isolation but in his relationship with like-minded creatures. The purpose of States, on the other hand, is to form such associations, providing and establishing justice, domestic tranquillity, common defense, promote the general welfare and secure their postulated ethnicity for themselves and their posterity.

It is to enact laws and provide force in ensuring that defined limits are not exceeded. As a people, we have attained statehood but we are yet to achieve nationhood. Why, in spite of government efforts, should the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of African nations continue to drown? Why is their per-capita income so embarrassingly low compared to others? The answer lies in the fact that their Gross Mental Attitude is wrong. The answer lies in the fact that their Gross Mental Output is horrendously low. The answer is aggressive educational policy and programmes. The educational policies and programmes in African nations must be reviewed to foster intellectual and environmental productivity. We have our roles to play as individuals. There is individual social responsibility. In spite of the odds, we must learn to appreciate our gains in Africa. In Nigeria particularly, in spite of cheap propaganda against our country, Nigeria, I tell you, is still among the freest countries in the world.

There are those who may argue with that but many of us have traveled around the world, and we can tell you it’s true. We must be grateful for our opportunities so far: many of us should be grateful for the scholarships we received, the education, the environment, and even the wonderful, peace-loving people of Nigeria with whom we have been associated. Many of us have benefited from the structure of our society, whether you love it or hate it. We must now give back to it. This thinking is the beginning of the birth of nationhood-the idea that we owe our society something; that we owe our nation something. We must not resign ourselves to always call out for help and handouts; reaching out to be given something by the government or government representatives. We must make a solemn decision to play on the field, to become involved and be spectators no more. We must gladly render service and seek to improve our society. We must dream bigger and higher to create for ourselves and posterity a more secure, prosperous, virile and egalitarian society.

It is sad that at this time of our odyssey of self-realization as a nation, major corporations and business establishments have not committed themselves to the infrastructural development of the country, the country from which they have so graciously benefited. No wonder the outcry in the Nigeria Niger Delta is getting louder, though unheeded. I call on thriving banks to help build our University campuses, all the major banks in the country should become responsible for helping build infrastructures in our University Campuses, provide classrooms for secondary schools, let the money you are making show in the development of our nation.  I call on major business organizations and corporations in Nigeria to help fund education as a testimony of their commitment to our evolution to nationhood and the realization of our dream of transition from third-world to first. It is their responsibility to give back to a nation from which they have received so much.

THEORY OF NATIONS

As a People, we must remember that every one of us has something to contribute to the building of the Nation. Only Nigerians can help develop Nigeria, all that we require in our nation for our prosperity, security, and progress will come from within us and therefore each one of us must be ready and willing to be a vital part of it. it is a very special time in our nation today and it is important that we share some vital and inspiring thoughts so that we can chart our course to the direction we should be going. By the time we're done, you will be flying. I trust that by the power of the spirit of God you will receive motivation, inspiration and the impetus to do the things you should do, the first few thoughts that I will like to impress on your mind today are based on what I call, the "Theory of Nations".

First, I find that all around the world they are too many people who don't understand the definition of nationhood it's sad that all of Africa particularly, many have not understood their reason for being. Africa was always called a dark continent not because of the color of their skin but because of the poverty of their minds but the time has come for us to make a difference and we will.

In developing the "Theory of Nations", there are certain concepts that require mention and definition. All over the world, wherever the definitions of these concepts are nebulous (ill-defined), they are misused and usually leading to the sufferings of so many people. These concepts are: Nation, Nationalism, State, and Ethnicity. To understand the development of nations, we must observe that man, as he is, is a gregarious (Sociable) animal. Thus humans beings naturally relate socially,  and as you know social relationship automatically define themselves with respect to strength and weakness, leadership and followership, because of this human tendency to protect, or seek protection so the weaker congregates around the stronger, to be protected.  And this feeling of security heightens the weakest ability to function socially. And so, naturally, the stronger demands further submission and allegiance, while defining the limits of freedom for the weaker of the species.

Certain nations like  Nigeria have completely flawed the popular or the popular definition of "nation" as a large body of people organized under independent government and sharing common customs, origins, history, and language. Canada, also, among others, cannot fall into this narrow definition of nation.  As you know, Nigeria has a multiplicity of languages, diverse customs and culture, and a wide range of divergent history for its many peoples who definitely don't have a common origin. Thus, by this definition, Nigeria will not qualify as a nation but State only. And there are many other countries all around the world that can only be described as states. A state begins with the paraphernalia of government with a definite territorial jurisdiction. It is an institutional structure with territorial integrity. Thus without a defined land space,  a State cannot function; whereas a nation need not be territorial in nature. As a matter of fact, the United Nations organization (which we call the UN), by its name, cannot be defined as it is called. It is more of an association of States.

States are bound together by law and force; nations are not created by law and force but by the free consent of its members and the definition of their purpose. States are static while nations are dynamic. Thriving states, therefore, are those who through education and culture have helped their people develop nationhood.

Be Sensitive To The Time Of Change

"Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard..." (Daniel 10:12).

Sometimes, you just know in your spirit that something needs to change in your life, and if you don't take advantage of that intuition, you could lose the moment. When you know inside you that the time has come for a change or for something to happen, don't take it lightly; start praying about it, and if, after sometime, you still haven't seen the desired results, you add fasting to it. If the change still doesn't occur after a while, keep praying and fasting about it, because the delay could be by Satan.

This was what happened to Daniel as he prayed for the deliverance of God's people. He had read in the Book of Jeremiah that the deliverance of Israel would come after seventy years in exile, so he knew the time had come and thus began to pray. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia detained the angel that was to bring Daniel the message. Daniel, nonetheless, was faithful and kept praying.

After twenty-one days, the angel of the Lord finally came with the answer and explained what had happened (Read Daniel 10:13-14). The angel that God sent to Daniel was delayed in the spirit realm, until Michael, one of the chief angels, came to help him.

Perhaps you perceive that it's time for a transformation in your family, business, academics, finances, health, or ministry. Take it up; fast, and pray! On the other hand, maybe you sense that there's a certain level of operation of God's Spirit that should be at work in your life, but you're not experiencing it; give it attention. Fast and pray about it, because if you don't, you may lose the timing, as well as the opportunity. So, like Daniel, set your face "...to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting..." (Daniel 9:3-4 AMP).

DON’T GIVE UP ON PRAYER

“Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit…. ‘What makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them?’” (Luke 18:1, 7 MSG)
Andrew looked at his watch over and over. “Only ten minutes!” he thought, “I thought I had prayed for an hour. But really, do I need to pray long hours before God hears or answers me? I know He knows everything, but I wonder why I have to keep praying for long hours.” Prayer, in reality, isn’t about the length or duration but applying right and effective principles while talking to the Lord and addressing various issues. It’s communication and fellowship to be enjoyed than endured, because you have a loving relationship with Jesus Christ, and He’s the One who admonishes us to pray without giving up because He loves to fellowship with you
Besides, you can change anything through prayer, so why not engage in it more? The divine power necessary to cause that change facing you is in you; it was deposited in you the moment you received the Holy Spirit into your life (Acts 1:8). James 5:16 says, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]” (AMP). So keep praying! There’s nothing too difficult for God to do (Jeremiah 32:27). He’s the God of possibilities, and He’s given you the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus and effect the changes you desire.

The God to whom you pray reigns and rules in the affairs of men: “…in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men” (Daniel 4:17). He’s given you the authority to decree a thing and have it established (Job 22:28). Therefore, in praying for the things that you want, let these thoughts always be in your mind.

21 Days Of Prayer and Fasting

21 DAYS PRAYER AND FASTING FOR NIGERIA PRAYER POINTS FOR WEDNESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2018
1. Pray for the vision and message of our ministry to continue to prevail and gain access and acceptance in every nook and cranny of this nation, bringing hope to the peoples of Nigeria, and empowering them to arise and be a blessing to the nation, rather than looking to the government as their source. LUKE 8:40 – And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him. ISAIAH 60:3- And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
2. Pray for our civil service across the nation, that bureaucracy and apathy be completely extinguished from all parastatals of government at all levels.
Pray for a change of attitude for our civil servants, that there would be new zeal, inspiration, and patriotism in their hearts to do their work with diligence and commitment , thereby contributing to nation-building. PROVERBS 18:9(TVC) – Those who slack off at work are no different from vandals. ECCLESIASTES 10:18(AMP) – Through indolence the rafters [of state affairs] decay and the roof sinks in, and through idleness of the hands the house leaks.
3. Pray and declare a renewed commitment to infrastructural development across the country by government from the local councils to the federal level.
Declare that in this new day, because of our prayers, it is not business as usual, but available resources are applied wisely and judiciously to meet the most pressing needs, while the leaders explore innovative and viable avenues to generate more revenue to undertake further projects in order to create an environment and provide amenities that foster growth of the local economies and encourage investment and development. NEHEMIAH 2:17-18 - Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem liethwaste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach...And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for thisgood work.
4. Pray specifically against corruption in our nation, declaring a complete change in the mindsets and orientation of our leaders and populace in the direction of true patriotism and selfless love for our nation.
Pray for the anti-corruption agencies of state, that they would function without bias or partiality, diligently and conclusively prosecuting all who have soiled their hands with public resources.
Declare that all corrupt officers in these agencies are exposed and shamed, from the least to the greatest, and all those whom they have helped to escape justice are speedily apprehended. PSALM 64:5-7[TLB] – They encourage each other to do evil. They meet in secret to set their traps. “He will never notice them here,” they say. They keep a sharp lookout for opportunities of crime. They spend long hours with all their endless evil thoughts and plans. But God himself will shoot them down. Suddenly his arrow will pierce them.
5. Pray fervidly against violent attacks on churches and places of Christian worship in this country. Declare heightened activity of angels in and around all church auditoriums and Christian gatherings everywhere in this nation, beyond the physical security arrangements made, such that nothing and no one shall be able to cause hurt or harm to the saints by any means. We are not victims; the power of the Holy Spirit intervenes through us; the church is marching on, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. GENESIS 19:10(MSG) – But the two men (angels) reached out and pulled Lot inside the house, locking the door. 11. Then they struck blind the men who were trying to break down the door, both leaders and followers, leaving them groping in the dark.
6. We declare today that everyone in government who secretly or openly sponsors or promotes violence and hostility against Christians and the church is removed by the hand of God. Men of violence and all who hate the church will proceed no further in our nation. As God’s voice in this land, we declare their offices vacant; they are speedily removed and replaced by men of peace who favour the church and seek her good. As was the case with Haman, who hated the Jews without cause, so shall their end be, unless they repent and accept Jesus as Lord. ESTHER 3:6 – “...wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews...” ESTHER 7:8, 10 – As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face. 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

PRAYER THAT WORKS

“Elijah was as completely human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for the next three and a half years! Then he prayed again, this time that it would rain, and down it poured, and the grass turned green and the gardens began to grow again.” (James 5:17-18 TLB)
When the children of Israel descended into idolatry, Elijah wanted to teach them a lesson and get them back to God. So he prayed for the rain to stop, and it didn’t rain in Israel for three-and-a-half years. When the people repented, Elijah prayed again for rain to fall, and the Lord said to him, “Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth” (1 Kings 18:1 RSV). Elijah knew God had answered his prayer, but he didn’t just sit there twiddling his thumb and waiting for the rain to fall. He went back on his knees and continued in fervent prayer (1 Kings 18:41-45).
There may have been times the Spirit of God let you know He already answered your prayer, and so, in excitement, you made it public. But when things didn’t turn out the way you expected, you asked, “What did I do wrong?” Well, it wasn’t so much what you did wrong, but what you stopped doing— you left off praying!

Your prayer is required to remove every obstacle and bring God’s Word to pass in your life! There are things you may not know to do until you spend time in prayer; then, God can reveal to you the steps you need to take. Christianity is a life of faith alright, but fervent prayer has its place. Don’t be perturbed by the things that appear unfavourable at the moment. Continue to pray in faith until you see the desired result. Press on in prayer!

The Effect Of The Blessing

When God blesses a man there’s really no word to describe it. I’ll call it the supernatural elixir. Everything you do just turns out right; everything you touch turns to success. When that blessing is on you, favour will come to you and you can’t help but succeed in everything you do. This starts up in your life when God visits you. Now you can understand something of the force field we talked about earlier.

Everybody desires to be successful in whatever they do; and this is perhaps why some people look for charms to help them. Some go to the extent of traveling to other countries to get these charms. Everybody wants that supernatural ‘thing’ that can open up doors everywhere. When the anointing settles on you, as the dew of hermon, its effects are beyond human description. Everything you touch starts prospering as that anointing keeps working.

When God gives the word for your blessing, it settles on you like dew, and prospers you in every way. This comes from the Presence of the Lord. When Hannah prayed, she got that force field set up all around her. It was at this point that the priest of God blessed her, saying, “…Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.” (1 Samuel
1:17); the force field around her attracted the blessing of God. The dew of God came upon her and she was blessed. She had a son, and she called him Samuel, but she didn’t stop there; she fulfilled her vow to God by bringing the child to the house of God. She went back home and had more children, though she had been called barren. Glory to God!

Barrenness could touch your life, your business, your body, your education, even your home, and it could touch you in so many ways. But when God visits you, it doesn’t matter how many people don’t like your face, they just don’t have an option, but to see you go up the ladder of success and victory because God has commanded His blessing upon you. Halleluyah!!
