Training For Mastery

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).

To be a good leader, a successful leader, you have to be well trained. And training isn’t just a onetime thing; it’s a continuous exercise, and the aim of every training is to attain mastery or perfection. Some people believe that as long as they’re in the earth, they’ll just keep learning, without attaining mastery. That’s not what the Word teaches.

The Bible talks about people who are ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7). That’s not a recommendation. There’s a place of mastery that every Christian should desire to attain. There’re certain things you must perfect before God can permit you to move to higher things in the spirit-realm. And that’s why you have to be trained in the Word.

In Ephesians 4:11-12, the Apostle Paul lists for us the purpose of the fivefold ministry gifts, which the Lord Jesus gave to the Church; it’s for the training or “perfecting” of the saints. It’s so we can attain mastery: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints….”

Don’t live a life that’s always on “a journey,” in pursuit of the same things, on the same level for years. There’re certain things that you should perfect, and when you do, move to the next level; move to something higher. Success is measured at different levels. As you’re being trained, you can tell whether or not you’re successful by the results you produce on the basis of your current level of training.

The more yielded you are to the Holy Spirit and the Training For Mastery Word of God, the faster the process of your training, and the sooner you attain mastery at that level and area of training.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the ministry gifts to the body of Christ, that the Church may be
taught, trained, perfected and energized for the work of the ministry. I take advantage of the
Word and the blessings of the Spirit, through which I’m trained for a continuous life of victory, success, promotion and greatness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He'll Make Up For Lost Time

I’ll make up for the years of the locust, the great locust devastation—Locusts savage, locusts deadly, fierce locusts, locusts of doom…. (Joel 2:25 MSG).

If you ever find yourself in a quagmire, or in some unpleasant situation, don’t fret or think that you’re helpless. Don’t say, “This is my worst time in life!” Christ lives in you, and that’s what matters. He’s the restorer of wasted years, time, resources, money, energy, etc. He’ll make up for lost time. No human being or government may ever be able to give back to you what you’ve lost, but God can! He’s the God that “quickens the dead,” that is, gives life to the dead. He can bring back everything, and more! He can restore peace and order back to your life; you need not fret or be dismayed. Mark 4:37-41 tells a story of how the disciples set their sail, and the winds became boisterous and waves billowed into the boat to sink it. They were really in a fix. But Jesus was at the back of the boat, sleeping. Startled at the ravaging storms and the billowing waves, the disciples woke Him up and said, “Master, don’t you care that we perish?”

Jesus woke up and gave the word, “Peace, be still,” and there was a great calm. It made no difference how strong the tempest was; what mattered was that the Master was in their boat. Same way, Christ is in you today, and by His Spirit, He’ll cause you to be triumphant and laugh your way through life.

Stick to the Word; even when you think time isn’t in your favour to accomplish certain things, don’t push the panic button! Keep your composure; the God who lives in you is the owner of time. He can restore wasted years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, and even wasted moments. He can move you a hundred paces forward, far ahead of your competitors, detractors and adversaries. Halleluiah!

The True Essence Of Prayer

James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much

Many often chastise themselves for not being able to pray for long hours. What is the significance of long prayer times? you might want to ask. Well, God never said we must spend long hours in prayers for Him to hear us. He never told us how long our prayers should be and doesn’t demand from us many hours of prayers as the definition of time by some is. But if you spend long hours, that’s great. Remember, He lives in eternity; therefore, He’s not regulated by minutes and hours as we are in the earth. So, in a sense, the significance or essence of prayer is not in its protraction in terms of the number of hours spent praying. It’s not “how long” you pray that really makes an impact; it’s “how right” you pray.

Many spend long hours in prayer, saying the wrong things, hence their lives are unfulfilled, being void of the spiritual results and impact of prayer. They have missed the true essence of prayer, which is fellowship and communion with the Lord. That communion not only builds your relationship with Him, but also helps transform your personality from glory to glory.
What God wants is for you to spend quality time alone with Him, away from everything else. For example, you’d be amazed how much impact a fifteen or thirty minute time alone with the Lord, spent praying intensely in the Spirit, will produce in your life.

Of course, it’s desirable and advisable to spend longer periods with the Lord in fellowship. All that’s required is discipline. You have to learn to stay at the place of prayer. Lately, we’ve been observing intense moments of prayer regularly, as I notify those following on Twitter. And many who have been disciplined enough to participate in the prayer times have shared testimonies of how they were able to go beyond the regular fifteen minutes of prayer to twenty or thirty minutes, and some others to even an hour. This happened, not because they were hitherto doing it but because they found they had so much more to say to the Lord during such blissful atmosphere of fellowship.

The significance of prayer is therefore not its length, especially in the eyes of others; it’s the beauty of fellowshipping with the Most High, away from everything else. That fellowship enriches and strengthens your spirit, while improving your life in a tremendous way.

Matthew 6:5-8
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Don’t ‪#‎Delay‬
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John
9:4).
Avoid ‪#‎procrastination‬. Don’t delay in the things you should do. Act at the right time; act while you can, because the opportunity may not always be there. What’s that vision the Lord laid in your heart at the beginning of the year?
How far have you fulfilled it? It could be about your evangelical work as a Christian or a minister of the Gospel. It could be about your job or family or even your health. Don’t delay. Be about what He asked you to do, and refuse to be distracted.
Oftentimes, when you don’t do what you should do at the right time, your inaction could prevent you from getting to the next level of your life. So, do the right things at the right time. It’s one of the benefits of yielding yourself to the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God; His wisdom propels you to do the right thing at the right time, the right way, for the right purpose.
Sometimes, the consequences of delay could take several years to correct; so, take action now. Don’t delay in doing the Lord’s bidding. Once you take the step and put the required effort into that which He has inspired you to do, His miracle-power comes upon your efforts, and His glory is revealed in what you do. So, don’t delay to act on His Word.
Don’t delay to act on His instructions and the inspirations that come to you.
Some people get the prompting of the Spirit to do something, but they ignore that prompting, because they want to pursue some other things first. Sadly, they often never get a second chance. It pays to know the voice of the Lord and respond promptly when He speaks. It pays to do what He wants you to do when He wants it done.
‪#‎PRAYER‬
Dear Father, I thank you for your wisdom, glory, grace, power, and the divine enablement you’ve imparted to my spirit so as to live the victorious Christian life, every day. By your Spirit, I’m divinely positioned to fulfil my destiny in Christ, fruitful in the ministry of reconciliation, to the glory of your Name, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

REJECT POVERTY...!

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).
According to this Scripture, the Lord Jesus came to make us rich. But there are Christians who assume poverty is necessary to live a godly life. I’ve even heard a minister pledge to poverty. I think that’s absurd! Poverty might... READ MORE>>>

DREAM BIG

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be (Isaiah 54:2-3). It’s time for you to dream big. It’s a decision you must make. Have big dreams for your finances, family, job or business. Your hour has come ... READ MORE>>

GRACE

2 Peter 3:18 ”But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever”. Amen.
WHAT IS GRACE?
Grace is the divine influence on the heart of a man and it is reflected or expressed outwardly. In other words, it is the out-working of a divine inward influence in your heart through God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. Grace is the glory of God working in....
